Sophie Scholl Sex Up Pornorama

Sex Up PornoramaOscar-nominated director Marc Rothemund, whose last film offered a dark look at Nazi terror in Munich, is returning to his comic roots with a light-hearted look at the German city's sex film industry in the 1970s.
His previous film "Sophie Scholl -- The Final Days," a gripping drama about a Nazi resistance fighter, won almost every prize on offer last throughout Europe last year. It also marked Rothemund's international breakthrough, picking up an Oscar nomination for best foreign-language film (losing to South Africa's "Tsotsi").

In Germany, however, the Bavarian director made his name with mainstream quirky comedies, starting with "Love on Planet Earth" in 1998.

Sixties Sex Icon Life Story Film

Approaching her 60th birthday, British-born actress and singer Jane Birkin has decided to make a movie of her 40-year career as a sex icon.
Birkin told The Sunday Times of London that she will write, direct and star in the biopic entitled "Boxes."

The film, to be announced this week, will include a cast of Birkin's friends and relatives. Her first husband, musician John Barry, will be played by John Hurt and her mother will be played by Geraldine Chaplin.
Exhibitionism has been a hallmark of Birkin's career. She appeared completely naked in the 1967 film "Blow-Up" and recorded a love song with her second husband Serge Gainsbourg in 1969 that was banned by the BBC.

In 1986, Gainsbourg appeared in bed scenes alongside the couple's daughter, Charlotte, in a movie about incest. This led audiences to believe the screen relationship might have been replicated in real life, the Times article said.
Birkin has been honored by both England and France. She was also the inspiration for a Hermes handbag.

On-Air Sexual Rants

A syndicated hip-hop disc jockey arrested after making on-air racial and sexual rants about a rival radio personality's wife and young child has been released on bail.
DJ Star, whose real name is Troi Torain, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after a broadcast on Power 105.1 FM.

Transcripts show he hurled racist insults, threatened to sexually abuse the 4-year-old daughter of his rival, Hot 97's DJ Envy, and offered $500 for information about where she went to school.
"I will come for your kids," Torain said, according to a transcript provided by New York Councilman John C. Liu.

Torain was arraigned after 11 p.m. Friday and posted $2,000 bail within an hour, authorities said. Police originally had indicated he also would be charged with harassment, but prosecutors decided against it for now, district attorney's spokeswoman Barbara Thompson said.

Torain's lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said his client's conduct was inappropriate but not criminal, and was "never intended to frighten the family."
Torain — along with his brother Timothy Joseph, known as Buc Wild — was the host of Clear Channel Radio's syndicated morning show on Power 105. The company fired Torain after city officials complained. Their show aired in markets including Philadelphia, Miami and Richmond, Va.

Hard Of Being Virgin

Being VirginA brothel has become the first in Berlin to offer special deals for virgins with prostitutes trained in the delicate art of catering for customers who have never had sex, a German newspaper reported Friday.
The brothel in the red light area of the Kreuzberg district of the city charges 60 euros for a half an hour of sex and works within the laws of Germany where prostitution is legal.

"These are men who either never had sex before or have never been in a brothel before," the brothel's operator was quoted as saying in Berlin's B.Z. tabloid.
"It's the first house of love in Berlin that specializes in taking care of beginners," wrote the daily on its front page.

Prostitutes are given "sensitivity training" for first-time clients, who the brothel operator said are not necessarily young but often 40 or older: "They need to be aware of how much courage it takes to go to a brothel the first time."

Porn Stars To Real Acting

A new television reality show invites porn stars to test their serious acting abilities in London's theater district, raising the question: Debbie can do Dallas, but can she take on Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard?" "My Bare Lady" will cast four leading ladies from U.S. porn studios in a classic piece of drama to be performed in London's West End. Their experiences undergoing a crash course in acting and appearing before a discerning British audience will air in three episodes on the Fox Reality cable and satellite channels this fall.

"It's a wonderful tale of redemption," said David Lyle, general manager of Fox Reality. "Do they want lines that are a little more challenging than 'Oh, here's the pool guy...'?"

"Debbie Does Dallas" was a 1978 porn film about the misadventures of a young woman who becomes a cheerleader for a Texas football team. The show's concept is rooted in the bankable plot conflict of many television "reality" shows, taking people out of their accustomed element to see how they fare.

Like Eliza Doolittle learning to speak proper English in "My Fair Lady," these women must overcome a challenge formidable to any actor. "If they can move a London theater audience to applaud, they have done pretty well," said Lyle.
The show will be co-produced with the UK's Zig Zag Productions. Fox Reality is a division of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.
